Generate EFS Sample Files

This public page provides copy/paste commands to generate disposable sample files in C:\cryptosample. These commands only create sample files and folders for validation. They do not enable EFS and do not upload anything.

Copy/paste sample-file command: Command Prompt only

Paste this into Windows Start -> Run to generate default sample files without PowerShell.

Paste this into Windows Start -> Run to generate default sample files with PowerShell.

Tip: Run one of these first, then run the EFS tool from /download. After EFS runs, use cipher /C /S:C:\cryptosample to confirm the sample files are encrypted.
